I love the idea of a list of prompts pulled from the works I’ve read on substack! This is inspiring ! Thanks so much for writing this and including my essay. That one is so special to me.

of course! it's genuinely one of the best things I've read this summer. I might mention it again in another post soon if that's okay. I'm working on a compilation of the best things I've come across both online and offline this summer.

I really enjoyed reading your “why” behind your Substack. I’ve come across so many and you’re right, there are so many and it can get overwhelming. It’s totally okay if end up unsubscribing from some. I’m learning to be okay that my writing is just not for everyone. I like your writing prompts, too!

Thank you for your kind words, and please let me know if you end up using any of these prompts!

Creative work can feel so personal, I've definitely felt sensitive to rejection at times but hopefully those who are meant to find us will find us. All we can do in the meantime is try to keep doing our part by making new posts, to give them more opportunities to find us.

Thank you so much!!! As I continue sharing my work on this platform, I hope that it continues to meet your expectations.

Before you recommend my Substack, I think you should take a look at my posts "excerpts from my digital sketchbook [July 2024]" and "I was supposed to get married this summer. [a poem]" so that you can have a more complete idea of the range of content I create, in case it's not all in line with what you personally enjoy.

I love the things said in this post! Substack is primarily great because of its accessibility and collaborative nature, if we start policing that we lose the magic. Thank you for the wonderful prompts 💚

Thank you for your kind words! And that's very well said.

Why should we police or criticize harmless posts on here, when we can instead try to better understand each other, and help each other out?
